This video has sadly become a Requiem for the beautiful forest you see here. It was destroyed in the Station Fire of August-September 2009. This is test footage I shot with the Sony HDR-FX1. I was going for a soft, moody, fantasy look. Used cineframe 30, a slow shutter speed (1/60th) and turned down the pixel sharpness as far as it would go. A lot of Color Correction here done in Final Cut Pro. Shot just north of LA in the San Gabriel mountains along the Angeles Crest Road. I got lucky with the low clouds and mist. The music is from "The Village" by James Newton Howard and "1492" by Vangelis.
